SEC Approves New Guidance for Compliance with Section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley - The Securities and Exchange Commission today unanimously approved interpretive guidance to help public companies strengthen their internal control over financial reporting while reducing unnecessary costs, particularly at smaller companies.
PCAOB approves internal audit standard - The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board Thursday voted to adopt a standard that replaces its previous internal control auditing standard, Auditing Standard No. 2 (AS2). PCAOB news
