    Online Piracy Remains a Risk for Business Continuity Planning

    Online piracy affects more than the movie industry.  An article written by Julia King,  a contributing writer to  and originally published by ComputerWorld, was recently reprinted by The Industry Standard to remind all risk managers to be watchful of the continuing risks that online piracy activities most certainly present to their organizations.

    We support the belief that Internet Service Providers have a responsibility to monitor online piracy activity, validate such occurences  and to shut down all such activity as quickly as possible.  

    With online piracy now confirmed to be much more that simply providing pirated copies of the latest movie DVD mostly to individuals, it is necessary for risk managers to put this topic on their agenda for all business continuity and contingency planning meetings.
